Instructions
1. Start in a standing position with your feet together and arms crossed in front of your chest.
2. Take a side step to the left with your left foot, and as you do so, raise your right knee towards your chest and twist your torso to the right to meet your raised knee with your left elbow, contracting your obliques. This is the knee raise with a twist.
3. Return your right foot to the starting position and step to the right with your right foot. At the same time, extend both arms out to the sides at shoulder height, like a traditional jumping jack.
4. From this extended position, quickly transition by bringing your left knee up towards your chest and twisting your torso to the left, bringing your right elbow toward the raised knee.
5. Step out again into the side step jack, this time moving to the right, and repeat the sequence.
6. Continue alternating the twist knee raise with the side step jack for the desired number of repetitions or time duration.
This exercise combines elements of a cardiovascular workout with a focus on agility and core engagement. It is a good exercise for warming up, improving coordination, and targeting multiple muscle groups simultaneously.
