Instructions
Begin in a standard plank position on your elbows and toes. Ensure your elbows are directly under your shoulders and your body forms a straight line from head to heels.
Engage your core muscles and maintain this contraction throughout the exercise.
Slowly lift and tap one foot to the side, moving only at the hip joint. Keep the rest of your body stable.
Return the lifted foot to the starting position and repeat the toe tap on the opposite side.
Continue alternating toe taps on each side for the duration of the set or until form begins to suffer.
Remember to breathe steadily while performing this exercise, and avoid arching your back or piking your hips upward.
Maintain tension in the core muscles to ensure maximum benefit and protect the lower back. It's better to do fewer reps with correct form than to sacrifice form for more reps.
