Instructions
1. Begin by sitting down on a mat with your legs crossed.
2. Sit up straight with your core engaged and shoulders relaxed.
3. Reach your right arm across your body to tap the area next to your left knee. As you do this, ensure you are twisting your trunk to engage your oblique muscles.
4. Return your right arm to the starting position.
5. Now, reach your left arm across your body to tap the area next to your right knee, simulating a trunk-twisting motion that focuses on the oblique muscles.
6. Keep alternating sides for a set number of repetitions or a duration of time. Make sure to move in a controlled manner to get the full benefit of the stretch and avoid any sudden movements.
Ensure when performing this exercise that you focus on good form, controlled breathing, and smooth movement to improve flexibility and mobility in the trunk and core area.
