Instructions

1. Start in a fighting stance with your nondominant leg forward and your hands up in a defensive position.

2. Pivot on the ball of your front foot while rotating your body 180 degrees away from your front leg. As you pivot, swing your rear leg in a wide, circular motion.

3. Continue to spin on the ball of your front foot, rotating your head and shoulders to spot your target while keeping your kicking leg raised and knee slightly bent.

4. As your body completes its rotation to face the target again, let the momentum extend your kicking leg, with the heel leading towards the target.

5. Strike the target with the heel of your foot, while your other leg balances and supports your body. Your kicking leg should sweep across the target in a hooking motion.

6. After making contact, continue the motion to complete the spin, and then quickly return to your original fighting stance.

7. Practice this movement slowly to get a feel for the balance and coordination required. Gradually increase speed and power as you become more proficient.

This kick requires significant balance, coordination, and flexibility. It is used in martial arts like Taekwondo, Karate, and Kickboxing and is considered an advanced technique. Proper form and technique should be learned under the supervision of a trained instructor to avoid injury.
