Instructions
1. Approach the lever machine equipped with a shoulder pad mechanism.
2. Stand with your feet shoulder-width apart and your back straight.
3. Position your shoulders under the pads and stand upright.
4. Brace your core and maintain a neutral spine throughout the movement.
5. Execute the shrug by elevating your shoulders as high as possible without bending your elbows or using your arms to lift.
6. Squeeze your traps at the top of the movement for a moment.
7. Slowly lower your shoulders back to the starting position, feeling a stretch in your traps.
8. Repeat the movement for the desired number of repetitions and sets.
Make sure to adjust the weight to a level that allows you to perform the exercise with proper form and without compromising the movement by using momentum.
