Dumbbell Straight-Arm Twisting Sit-Up

Instructions

1. Start by lying on your back on the floor, knees bent and feet flat on the ground. Hold a dumbbell with both hands straight above your chest, with arms fully extended.

2. Engage your core and elevate your upper body off the floor, performing a sit-up while keeping your arms straight and the dumbbell over your chest.

3. As you approach the top of the sit-up, add a twist to one side by rotating your torso, aiming to bring the dumbbell towards the outside of your opposite thigh. Keep your arms straight throughout the movement.

4. Slowly reverse the twist and lower your upper body back to the starting position on the floor.

5. Perform another sit-up and twist to the opposite side this time.

6. Continue alternating sides for each rep.

7. Make sure to move in a controlled manner, using your core strength to lift and twist rather than relying on momentum.

8. Keep your movements smooth and breathe out as you rise and twist, inhaling as you lower back to the start position.

9. Aim for a set number of repetitions per set, and adjust the weight of the dumbbell according to your fitness level.
