Instructions

Setup

  1. Set an adjustable bench to a 15-degree incline, making sure it is stable.

  2. Grab a pair of dumbbells and sit at the end of the bench, resting the dumbbells on your thighs.

  3. Lie back on the bench, bringing the dumbbells up to your chest as you do so. Your feet should be planted firmly on the floor.

  4. Position the dumbbells slightly wider than shoulder-width, with your palms facing forward and elbows tucked slightly towards your body.

Execution

  1. Press the dumbbells upwards in a controlled motion, extending your arms without locking your elbows at the top.

  2. As you push, allow your elbows to flare out slightly for optimal chest engagement.

  3. Slowly lower the dumbbells back down to the starting position, maintaining tension on your chest muscles throughout the movement.

  4. Do not pause at either the top or bottom of the movement to keep constant tension on the pectorals.

  5. Repeat this movement for the desired number of repetitions.
