Instructions

Stand or sit upright in a comfortable position.

Place one hand on the back of your head.

Gently guide your head forward, bringing your chin toward your chest without slumping your upper back.

Apply gentle pressure with your hand to increase the stretch.

Hold this position for 15-30 seconds, feeling a gentle stretch on the back of your neck and into your upper back.

Slowly release the pressure and bring your head back to the starting position.

Repeat the stretch 2-3 times.

Ensure that the stretch is comfortable and that you are not applying too much pressure. The stretch should not cause pain.

Breathe deeply and steadily throughout the stretch to help relax the muscles.
