Instructions

1. Select an appropriately-sized exercise ball and place it on the floor.

2. Lie on your side with your lower hip in contact with the exercise ball.

3. Extend your bottom leg straight and place your top leg in front of you for stability.

4. Place your bottom arm on the exercise ball, palm down for support.

5. Take your top arm and raise it over your head, creating a gentle arc and stretching the lat muscle.

6. Lean your torso into the stretch, allowing the exercise ball to roll slightly forward, intensifying the stretch along your side.

7. Hold the stretch for 15-30 seconds, breathing deeply and evenly.

8. Carefully release the stretch and switch sides to stretch the lat muscle on the opposite side.

9. Repeat the stretch 2 to 3 times on each side, as necessary, to increase flexibility and reduce tightness in the lats.

Remember to keep the movements smooth and controlled, and to only stretch to the point of tension, not pain. It's important to maintain proper form to avoid injury and get the most benefit from the stretch.
