Breath Work
Guided breathing to calm down, sharpen focus, or energise. Pick a technique and follow the circle as it expands and contracts.
Breath Work
Inhale, hold, exhale, and hold, all for the same count. A Navy-SEAL favourite for calm, focused control under pressure.
The Techniques
Box breathing uses equal counts to steady you under pressure. 4-7-8 stretches the exhale to wind down toward sleep. Coherent 5.5 is smooth, hold-free breathing that tunes heart-rate variability. Wim Hof pairs rounds of power breaths with breath holds to energise.
Find a comfortable seat, breathe through the nose where you can, and let the circle set your pace.
Practise Safely
Breath holds — especially the Wim Hof method — should only be done seated or lying down. Never practise in or near water, while driving, or operating machinery.
If you are pregnant or have a heart or respiratory condition, talk to a doctor first. Light-headedness is normal; stop and breathe normally if you feel unwell.
