Instructions
Starting Position:
Stand upright with your feet hip-width apart.
Place your hands on your hips for balance, or let them hang relaxed by your sides.
Initiate the Stretch:
Lift your right foot slightly off the ground as you bend your right knee.
Shift your weight onto your left foot.
Step Forward:
Step forward with your right foot, placing it gently on the ground while keeping your left leg straight.
As your right foot steps down, feel a slight stretch in your left calf and hamstring.
Return to Starting Position:
Step back to the starting position by bringing your right foot back next to the left foot.
Repeat the movement on the opposite side by lifting your left foot and stepping forward with it.
Continue the Movement:
Alternate stepping forward with each foot for a total of 10 to 15 repetitions.
Focus on maintaining good posture throughout the exercise, keeping your back straight and core engaged.
Breathing:
Inhale as you step forward and exhale as you return to the starting position.
Cool Down:
After completing your repetitions, stand still for a moment, take a few deep breaths, and gently shake out your legs to relax.
Note: This exercise is great for stretching your calves and hamstrings while improving balance and flexibility. Make sure to listen to your body and avoid overstretching.
