Instructions

Animal Resting Yoga Pose (Stretching)

1. Starting Position:
- Begin on your hands and knees on a flat, comfortable surface like a yoga mat.

2. Kneeling Position:
- Bring your knees together and sit back onto your heels. Ensure your toes are pointed and the tops of your feet are resting on the mat.

3. Movement Forward:
- Slowly walk your hands forward, lowering your chest toward the ground. Allow your forehead to gently rest on the mat.
- Keep your arms extended in front of you, feeling a stretch in your shoulders and back.

4. Hold the Position:
- Maintain this position and breathe deeply. Hold for 20 to 30 seconds, ensuring you’re relaxed and comfortable.

5. Deepening the Stretch (Optional):
- If comfortable, you can slide your hands further forward to deepen the stretch. Focus on lengthening your spine and relaxing into the pose.

6. Return to Starting Position:
- To come out of the pose, gently walk your hands back toward your body, lifting your chest and returning to the kneeling position.

7. Repetition:
- You can repeat this stretch 2-3 times, focusing on slow, deep breaths and relaxing into the movements.

Tips:
- Make sure to listen to your body and avoid any discomfort.
- Feel free to use a blanket or cushion under your knees for extra support if needed.
