Standing Shoulder Inferior Capsule Stretch

Positioning

1. Stand up straight with your feet shoulder-width apart.
2. Keep your abdominal muscles engaged for stability.
3. Relax your shoulders, allowing them to drop away from your ears.

Movement

1. Raise your right arm overhead, bending your elbow so that your hand is positioned behind your head.
2. Use your left hand to gently pull on your right elbow, enhancing the stretch in your arm and shoulder.
3. Hold this position for 15-30 seconds, feeling the stretch in the shoulder area.
4. Slowly release and return your right arm to the starting position.
5. Repeat the stretch on the left side by raising your left arm overhead and pulling on your left elbow with your right hand.
6. Hold for another 15-30 seconds.

Tips

- Breathe deeply and steadily throughout the stretch.
- Avoid forcing the stretch; only go as far as is comfortable.
- If you feel any pain, ease off the stretch.
