Majorette Twist
Twist & tone! Improve core strength & balance with this fun, low-impact move. Get fit, one twist at a time!
Instructions
1. Starting Position: Stand upright with your feet hip-width apart. Keep your arms relaxed at your sides.
2. Arm Position: Lift your arms out to the sides, parallel to the ground, creating a T shape with your body. Ensure your palms are facing down.
3. Knee Lift: Shift your weight onto your left leg. Slowly raise your right knee towards your chest, keeping your foot flexed.
4. Twist Movement: As you lift your knee, twist your torso to the right, allowing your left arm to cross in front of your body while your right arm extends back.
5. Hold the Position: Pause for a moment to feel the stretch in your core and hip. Focus on maintaining balance.
6. Return to Start: Bring your right knee back down and return your arms to the starting position.
7. Switch Sides: Repeat the movement on the left side by shifting your weight onto your right leg, lifting your left knee, and twisting your torso to the left.
8. Repetitions: Complete 10-12 repetitions on each side, focusing on controlled movements and good posture throughout the exercise.
9. Breathing: Inhale as you prepare and lift your knee, and exhale as you twist. Remember to breathe steadily during the exercise.
10. Cool Down: After finishing both sides, shake out your legs and arms to release any tension.
