Instructions
1. Start by lying flat on your back on a comfortable but firm surface, with your legs extended and your arms extended above your head.
2. Engage your core muscles and in a smooth motion, lift your shoulders and upper back off the ground while simultaneously bringing your knees toward your chest.
3. As your knees come in, lift your hands off the ground and tap your knees.
4. Hold the tuck position briefly, ensuring your abs are engaged and you maintain a smooth, controlled motion.
5. Slowly lower back down to the starting position with your arms and legs extended.
6. Repeat the movement for the desired number of repetitions and sets.
Tips: - Ensure you keep your movements controlled and avoid using momentum; this will engage the core muscles more effectively. - Breathe out as you lift your torso and bring your knees in, and breathe in as you return to the starting position. - Keep your lower back pressed against the floor to protect your spine. - Modify the exercise by limiting the range of motion if full knee taps are too challenging at first.
